About us

The Gateway Community Association (GCA) formerly the Pleasant Street Neighborhood Association is a tax-exempt organization registered in the State of Arkansas representing communities bordering historic downtown. We are volunteers who live, work, or own property in the Pleasant Street Historical District and Gateway Community and  we work together to keep the neighborhood clean, safe, and fun.

 

Our operations are funded solely by dues from our members and donations.  Dues are $20.00 annually for individuals and $100.00 for businesses and organizations.  If you would like to join our Association, please contact our President, Jean Lacefield at (501) 623-2659 or you can email Jean and request an application at jeanlacefield@yahoo.com.

 

Neighborhood Activities

We currently have several annual activities.

Each year we have activities that make our community a better place to live and visit.

  • Annual Meet & Greet Membership Drive

  • Community Meetings with Hot Springs City Departments including Police & Fire Departments

  • Several Community activities

  • Annual Xmas Potluck Party

​​How We Work

We draw upon the wisdom, experience and diversity of our members to find practical, workable solutions to issues in our community.  We believe in neighbor helping neighbor.

 

Policy decisions are made by our members at our monthly meetings. The Board of Directors, with support from the members, then works to complete tasks and implement policies as set by the members.  All actions undertaken by the Board are reported to the membership at the next regular monthly Association meeting.

 

If you have an issue or concern, please feel free to contact us.  However, we also ask that you contribute to our success by volunteering, by helping your neighbors and by supporting our efforts going forward.
